You will complete a careers questionnaire to look at your career ideas for the future.
You will take part in a variety of activities – e.g. University visits to see what life is like.
During the year you will take part in a World of Work day, which raises awareness of types of roles.
You will start your preparation for work experience by creating a CV in Business/ICT in January.
Following exams in June you will be able to undertake work experience for one week.
You and your parents will attend a work experience evening in the spring term.
You and your parents will be invited to get involved in the Careers Discovery Programme in the autumn term. You will take part in a variety of activities – e.g. University visits to see what life is like.
You will be given the opportunity of a one to one interview with the visiting Careers Adviser from Connexions Sandwell.
To help with careers information research you can use the careers library at the Academy and get help from Mrs Timms and Mrs Soulsby.

There is funding available for Sixth Form Students on Further Education study through the 16 to 19 Bursary.
