Sixth Form Courses

With a wide range of different subjects to choose from, there is a course for everybody at Sandwell Academy Sixth Form. Whether you wish to study academic subjects, BTECs/vocational courses or a mixture of both, you will find a programme to suit you.

Vocational Programme

Students must achieve five 9-4 GCSEs including:

  • Grade 4 in English and Maths.
  • Grade 4 in those subjects being taken.

Academic Programme

Student must achieve five 9-6 GCSEs including:

  • Grade 6 in English and Maths.
  • Grade 6 in those subjects being taken (Grade 7 in Mathematics) in addition to meeting specific course requirements.

Mixed Programme

Students can take a combination of Academic and Vocational subjects.

Where necessary, individual students will continue to study GCSE Maths and/or English qualifications until a grade 4 or above is secured.
