Industrialists of the Year

Rob Dolan received the award on behalf of the NHS.

One of the features which distinguishes Sandwell Academy from other Schools is the quality of the partnership shared with Industry. Financial sponsorship is a significant investment in the life and work of the Academy, but employers also make major contributions to the design, delivery and assessment of the curriculum:

  • Rich diversity of contacts with over 600 organisations in Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall, Birmingham and Wolverhampton now on our industry database.
  • Achievement Awards to students whose work is worthy of commendation.
  • Students regularly involved with project work for local companies.
  • Industry links involving key local managers working with students and teachers

The careers department is full of useful information to help in your aspirations for the future.

There is a whole library of career information as well as information on further education and a wide range of university prospectuses.

Any questions about careers, university or generally about your future don't hesitate to contact Miss Orton or Miss Wootton. For any Work Experience opportunties you may be able to offer our students, please contact Mrs Karen Soulsby or Mrs Tracy Bosi.

If you would like to discuss building an Industrial Partnership between the Academy and your organisation please contact Sue Timms – Employer Engagement Officer.
