New Head of Year 7

Dear Year 7 parent/carer,

 

I am writing to you to share a development in the Head of Year management of your child.

 

From Monday 2 March, the Head of Year will be Ms Yazmine Williams, a Senior Leader at the Academy, who is responsible for welfare interventions and transition. She has a wealth of specialist experience in supporting young people, and will prove to be a tremendous addition to the pastoral team.  Any queries about your child should be shared with their Personal Tutor in the first instance, with Ms Williams as the next port of call. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to Miss Amy Parker, who has been the Head of Year 7 to this point.  She has performed this role extremely well, displaying calmness, patience and determination in helping our Year 7 students adopt to secondary school, and being a tremendous source of pastoral care.  She will continue to have a huge impact on supporting our young people during their educational journeys.
