Year 7 Admissions – September 2019
Parents/Carers will be notified of the outcome of their child’s application to Secondary School on Friday 1 March 2019.
Parents/Carers will receive notification from the Local Authority and Sandwell Academy, providing Sandwell Academy has been named as a preference on the online application form, informing you whether or not your child has been offered a place at Sandwell Academy.
Should your child be offered a place at Sandwell Academy, further details will be sent to you in the post. Please be aware that you must respond by Friday 15 March 2019.
Should your child not be offered a place at Sandwell Academy, further details about the Academy’s waiting list and appeals procedure will be sent to you in the post. Please be aware that you must respond by Friday 15 March 2019 if you would like your child to join the waiting list. Unsuccessful applicants will also receive a Frequently Asked Questions document that answers some of the most commonly asked questions. Please ensure you have read this document before calling or emailing with an enquiry.
Any enquiries about distance measurements, banding, the waiting list or appeals must be made in writing. Please include your child’s full name, date of birth and address when making these enquiries. We will receive a very high number of enquiries at this time, we will aim to answer all enquiries within five working days. During this time please do not re-send email enquiries, if you do not receive a reply within five working days please call the Academy Reception.

Deadline for submission of further documents/evidence in support of appeal – any information or evidence not submitted by this date might not be considered by the Independent Appeal Panel at the appeal hearing.
